5th day training

* they're in, but I'm out.
Some people can actually predict that I couldn't scrub in :)
the morning went well, at least for some of us..

* a rejection..
I've never thought that such a thing may actually happen to me,
the patient walk in, my supervisor saw his file, when he thought that everything is alright,
he told me to restore that premolar,
the patient looked at me and expressed his worries "which I pretend that I didn't notice".
I looked at the tooth throughly -class 2 with a frank exposure-, asked for local anesthetic to start the routine procedure.
the patient asked me with his eyes full of doubts.. have you done this before? son?
I answered positively.. at that time, the doctor left the office to the doctors lounge..
when I started to move my finger looking for the "coronoid notch" he said.. this is the tooth with a problem..
how come you anesthetize this area, while its far away from the tooth?!
I told him that I know my job.. even the assistant confirmed..
the doctor was just back, that when he refused the treatment..
left the office with a new appointment. :(
I felt bad, really really bad.. but they tried to cheer me up anyway..

4th day training

* surgery and OR.

there was a rumor about a dental procedure which will be held in OR..I got excited and thought that I can attend and watch.. I guess I was wrong after all.

* my mentor admiration.

A class II cavity I restored with a composite and remembered my advice to my self-<<<>

I sent the patient happy, then I look to my my mentor..who was impressed by me acting confident -actually the assistant did so-.. you're spoiling patients with all these extra steps,"my mentor said looking at the clock" but well done..I felt flattered..
